Chippis
Exhibition and screening:
This work explores a collaborative process that began after a trip to Marseille, when I returned with a used camera that Florian Rubin and I intended for a new film. Inside, we discovered a forgotten SD card containing footage of a man juggling a football alone, material that became part of the film’s narrative. Filming took place in Chippis (Valais), guided by a hand-drawn map made by Florian and a hand-drawn map from me. While I filmed and wandered, he edited the material from the previous day; when he filmed, I edited. This alternating process established a rhythm that unfolded into a dialogue, in the subtitles, about artistic collaboration, friendship, labour, and solitude.
